STEP 1: Mandatory Informational Meeting

October 29, at 7:30 PM, in the Darien High School Cafeteria. Parents and players required.

STEP 2: Mandatory Participation Workshop

Students and parents must attend the required coursework offered by the Darien School District before the period of participation begins.

Any student and parent who has not yet attended one of the sessions held earlier this year, must attend the appropriate session on the below date before they can participate in a winter and/or spring sport.

November 13: Grade 9 and 10 Extracurricular Participation Workshop

November 14: Grade 11 and 12 Extracurricular Participation Workshop

STEP 3: Register through Aspen

Darien Athletics now uses Aspen for all sport registrations.

  1. Log onto your Aspen parent portal account to begin the registration process at https://aspen.darienps.org. 
    • Parents must complete the following workflows in their parent Aspen account:
      • Athletic-parent
      • The DHS contact and medical info, Permissions signoff workflow
    • Students must complete the following workflows in their student Aspen account:
      • Athletic-student
      • Student Policy Acceptance
    • Click here if you do not already have an Aspen account.
  2. All students must pass a physical examination prior to participation in High School Athletics. A physical exam covers the student for 13 months from the exam date. A student's eligibility will terminate once a physical has reached the 13-month limit.  Current Health Assessment (HAR-3) or “Blue Form”

  4. Co-Pays are due at registration and will be refunded in full, if after tryouts, the player does not make the team

STEP 4: Due at registration, pay season co-pay $271.35

DHS SQUASH ONLY accepts payment online at https://darien.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Details/2052/204/False/True

  • Setup an account
  • You will receive an email to verify your account
  • Payment amount will be attached to your child
  • Co-Pays are due at registration and will be refunded in full, if after tryouts, the player does not make the team
  • Co-pay only covers court rental fees and does not include HS Nationals, banquet, senior day, etc.

STEP 5: Pay All Outstanding Fines

All Athletic fines must be paid or missing items be returned to Administrative Assistant Cindy Fraioli/Assistant Athletic Director, Kyle MacDonald. (Checks made payable to “Darien High School”. In the Memo section please include the “Team Sport” the check applies to.)
