US Squash High School Nationals, February 20-23, 2025
Attention varsity players (rostered 1-8)! Please note that US Squash High School Nationals are scheduled to take place at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center and UPenn in Philadelphia from Feb. 21-23, 2025. This overlaps with the end of the DHS February school break.
There will be practice on Tues, 2/18 and Weds, 2/19, for players attending Nationals.
Players should plan to arrive in Philadelphia the afternoon of Feb. 20, 2025 for this event. A bus is not provided. Players are responsible of their own transportation, however, in recent years most players have coordinated to travel together via train to Philadelphia with parent chaperones and carpools were arranged for the way home.

- All participants must be current US Squash members through the last day of the tournament.
- All participants are required to have passed the correct age-appropriate referee exam before the start of the tournament.
LOCATION
Arlen Specter US Squash Center and University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA Team travels to Nationals on 2/20/25 Required team practice: Thursday, 2/20, time tbd, but approximately 6-6:30pm start. Tournament start: Players should be prepared to start as early as 8:00am on Friday, 2/21 Tournament end: Players to be available until 6:00pm on Sunday, 2/23 The tournament schedule will be posted by US Squash, at that time we will know when each of our teams will have their first match |

The cost per player is based on accommodations.

The co-pay will not include meals. Players will pay for this with their own cash or credit card.
TRANSPORTATION
Players are expected to arrive in Philadelphia by 6pm on Thursday, February 20 and are expected to stay until the end of matches on Sunday, 2/23. A bus is not provided for Nationals. Therefore, players will need to arrange their own transportation, though in recent years most players have traveled together via train to Philadelphia and carpools were arranged for the way home. HOTEL INFORMATION
Rooms reservations for all players will be made by Darien Squash. Players will be staying that the Sheraton, University City and will be assigned two players per room.
Coaches will provide players with team rules re: curfew and other guidelines. Players are to stay together as a team and should not leave the hotel, Arlen Specter Center or restaurant venues on their own.
Parents/spectators are responsible for making their own reservations and travel arrangements.

- Breakfast – players will go as a team to a local/casual location for breakfast. Players should bring money for this.

- Dinner – Players should bring money for dinners. These will be casual. There will be a team dinner the evening of Saturday, 2/22 for players and coaches. This dinner will be part of the co-pay.

MISCELLANY
- All players are responsible for their personal items.
- Players may NOT charge anything to their hotel rooms.
- Players are all expected to stay with their teamates at all times and should plan to attend/support their teamates matches. When boys are not playing, they will attend the girls' matches and vis versa.
